The House As A Witness

The House That Refuses to Disappear

Karl Heinz Jeron

2025

Artwork description

The house testifies to desire and necessity, yet remains a mute observer to the passage of time. Constructed with intention, it resists the forces that seek to claim it. Meaning, memory, and purpose are often projected onto such structures, granting them a semblance of life. Yet the house, in its persistent silence, endures, not as a vessel for memory, but as a steadfast presence, loyal not to sentiment, but to its own autonomous existence.

About the artist

In my artistic practice, the boundaries between action and reflection blur, giving rise to a space where insights aren't necessarily derived from definite analyses, conclusions, or outcomes. Instead, they unfold from realms of uncertainty, the unfathomable, and the unattainable.

Ultimately, my goal is to question the dynamics of change and explore how new things emerge.
